§ 10.5. PARKING FACILITY REQUIREMENTS.

10.5.1. Minimum Standards.
For parking facilities having 15 or more parking spaces, at least eight percent of the gross paved area of the parking facility shall be landscaped and located in the interior of the facility.

 

10.5.2. Planting Islands.
Planting islands shall include at least one Shade Tree or one Small Tree and six Small Shrubs. At least 50 percent of the trees planted shall be Shade Trees.

 

10.5.3. Interior Plantings.
In support of the above, the following standards shall apply to interior plantings:

 

	10.5.3.1. All plantings shall be evenly distributed throughout the parking facility.
	10.5.3.2. All interior plantings shall be curbed or otherwise physically protected. Depressed landscaped islands shall be permitted for stormwater management purposes as approved by the UDO Administrator or Town Stormwater Administrator.
	10.5.3.3. Landscaped islands shall be installed at each block of 15 consecutive parking spaces and at the ends of all parking rows. Landscaped islands shall contain at least 100 square feet in area and be at least 8 feet in width, measured from back of curb to back of curb.
