§ 2-111. Creation.

A planning board for the town is hereby created under the authority of G.S. 160A-361 to serve the public interest by promoting the public health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the Town of Oak Island and its extraterritorial jurisdiction. It is the intent of the town to have representation of a broad cross-section of community interests.
