§ 16-8. Establishment of limits of districts in which storage of flammable liquids in outside aboveground tanks is to be prohibited.

  • (a)

    Aboveground or underground fuel storage tanks will be allowed in the CR, CB and C-LD zoning districts as long as they meet NFPA regulations and all other state, federal and local requirements.

    (b)

    For aboveground storage, the containment area required to hold leaking tanks shall be designed by a state-registered engineer along with tie downs in flood prone areas.

    (c)

    The dike area shall be of precast concrete or solid masonry with fill dirt around the outside perimeter with low growing shrubs planted on top of the fill dirt and approved by the zoning administrator.
